Fischer Preisler Schack Mikkelsen
Certain traditions have to be kept when you organize a jazz festival
in Ribe. One of these is the closing concert at the town square by Hotel
Dagmar.
And Mr. Nobody is not on the stage. The name Fischer has to be on our
festival poster. And he has to play the guitar as always.
Therefore we once again proudly present Jacob Fischer, one of the top
names of the festival. Jacob plays in a most swinging band, recently
emerged at La Fontaine in Copenhagen. In 2009 they will appear at Copenhagen
Jazz Festival, Aarhus Jazz Festival, Tversted Jazz Festival and in Ribe.
Leading vocal is Martin Preisler, a fantastic singer who knows to keep
the kettle boiling in every band he joins. He has performed with D.R.
Big Band, Klüver's Big Band, sung in musicals and on several CD's.
Behind him the band is: Monsieur Fischer on guitar, organist Martin
Schack and the ubiquitous drummer Casper Mikkelsen.
